Adminformatics Achieves SOC 2 Type II Compliance, Reinforcing Its Commitment to Data Security for Research Institutions Nationwide
The attestation validates the strength of Research Logix's security controls, giving academic medical centers and research universities confidence in how their data is protected.
Adminformatics, LLC, maker of Research Logix (RLOGX), the research administration platform trusted by academic medical centers, NCI-designated Cancer Centers, and research universities, today announced it has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type II audit. An independent assurance firm, Prescient Assurance, LLC, conducted the examination and confirmed that Adminformatics meets the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria for security established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
"I'm incredibly proud of what our team accomplished here," said Jeremy Gregory, CEO and Founder of Adminformatics. "Our clients trust us with sensitive institutional research data, and that trust has to be earned every day. Achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance isn't just a checkbox — it's proof that the controls we've built into Research Logix hold up over time, not just on paper."
SOC 2 (Systems and Organization Controls 2) is a widely recognized standard used by enterprises and institutions to evaluate how well a service provider safeguards data. While a Type I report assesses the design of an organization's controls at a single point in time, a Type II attestation goes further, evaluating how effectively those controls operated over an extended review period.
For institutions evaluating research administration technology, the SOC 2 Type II attestation provides independent assurance that Adminformatics has established security controls that are not only appropriately designed but operating effectively over time.
"For research administration offices, data integrity and security aren't abstract concerns — they directly affect grants, compliance, and institutional reputation," said Todd James, Business Operations Manager at Adminformatics. "This attestation reflects the rigor our team has put into every layer of the platform, from infrastructure to day-to-day operations."
Adminformatics currently serves more than 22 active institutional clients across academic medical centers, NCI-designated Cancer Centers, and research universities. The company does not handle protected health information (PHI); its scope is limited to personally identifiable information (PII) and institutional research data, a distinction that shaped the design of its security controls from the outset.
